Rumors have been running rampant for awhile now that Disney was going to announce new villas. It is now official. Time to put on your grass skirt and start learning how to hula! Disney Vacation Club will be adding new villas scheduled to open in 2015 at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. This will complete the resort loop of villas along the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake.
“The planned development project at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, when completed, will join Disney Vacation Club’s 12 other properties, including The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, scheduled to open Oct. 23,” said a Disney news release. “Construction on the Polynesian project began this month, and completion is estimated to be in 2015. In addition to the Disney Vacation Club project, other guest areas within Disney’s Polynesian Resort will undergo refurbishment. More information and project details will be shared at a later date.”
It only makes sense that Disney would add villas at the Polynesian since it is the only resort left on the monorail line without Disney Vacation Club. No word yet on the amount of units or points, but when I do hear about them, I will let you know!
