If you’ve ever seen a commercial for Walt Disney World or watched a Disney movie, you have seen the image of Cinderella’s Castle located in Disney’s Magic Kingdom Theme Park. The castle is probably one of the most recognizable icons in American culture. I don’t know what it is about that castle, but when I see it, whether on television, or if I’m lucky enough to be there in person, it just conjures up a warm, fuzzy feeling for me. Maybe it’s all of the wonderful memories I have of special time spent with my family. Whatever it is, the home of the castle is the focal point of any trip to Walt Disney World. Cinderella is one lucky gal.
Magic Kingdom Theme Park is comprised of 6 special and unique areas. Each one is imagineered in such a way that you will truly believe you have been transported to a different land and time. Click on the links and you will be able to see what makes each park special and what you can enjoy while you’re there!
Please take the time to explore everything the Magic Kingdom has to offer. I promise you that beyond the basics of the park, meaning the attractions, dining and shops, there is something new to be discovered with each trip. My family has been to Walt Disney World more times than I can count and I am still making new discoveries! We won’t even begin to discuss the search for Hidden Mickeys…that will have its’ own section!
The easiest way for you to navigate through all the information is to start at the beginning… How do I get to the Magic Kingdom?
The Magic Kingdom is beginning an expansion that will nearly double the size of Fantasyland. To make way for this transformation, Mickey’s Toontown Fair closed on February 12, 2011. Fantasyland construction will be completed in phases with most new attractions open by 2013.
