When we first started going to Walt Disney World, there was only one small section of Downtown Disney. Then, Pleasure Island was added. Pleasure Island was ultimately replaced with an entire “West Side” which has really grown the Downtown Disney experience. What was once a place to shop, eat and maybe take a boat ride, is now not only those things, but also a place to see great live music, see an amazing show put on by Cirque du Soleil, see a movie or just have fun! Downtown Disney is usually the first place we go on our first night in Disney. It’s also the place my husband and I go when we want to take a romantic stroll on the boardwalk starting at House of Blues on the West Side. Make sure you check out everything to do, see and EAT on MamaMouse’s pages specifically for the East Side and West Side.
Sty tuned for all the upcoming details on the new renovations at Downtown Disney as they transform the area into Disney Springs!
