West Side

The West Side of Downtown Disney is home to a variety of shops and restaurants, but is best known for its entertainment. At Downtown Disney West Side, you can find the world renowned Cirque du Soleil troupe performing La Nouba which is only found at Disney World! Here, you will also find DisneyQuest which is an indoor, interactive theme park which provided a one of a kind experience for visitors. At DQ, you can even design your own roller coaster! There is also a huge AMC movie theater, House of Blues restaurant and club featuring top acts from around the country as well as a menu designed by Food Network’s own, Aaron Sanchez! Think that’s all there is to do? How about taking a ride on a tethered balloon?  Or, if you just want to enjoy a quiet stroll, do what my hubby and I do…  We go behind House of Blues and walk on the Sassagoula River boardwalk-especially romantic at night.  You can even stop and have a seat on the benches and enjoy all of the beautiful lights!

Cirque du Soleil Show La Nouba- My kids just watched the DVD from this show. My mother-in-law loved Cirque du Soleil, but never had the chance to see it, so I brought it to her. Now, her grandkids are able to enjoy it and they want to see it in person now.
