Disney’s Art of Animation Resort – Final Phase Opens: Beginning Sept. 15, guests can dive under the sea with Ariel and become part of her world at “The Little Mermaid” wing. Decorating the colorful courtyard, King Triton, Ursula, Sebastian and other larger-than-life characters surround the resort’s third pool, the Flippin’ Fins pool. The new 864 standard hotel rooms are the final phase of the resort’s multi-phase opening, which began May 31. The resort is inspired by classic Disney and Disney•Pixar films and is located next to Disney’s Pop Century Resort at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

Magic Kingdom: A family-friendly fright-fest featuring a children’s parade, trick-or-treating throughout the park, face painting, and more, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a Halloween-themed special event held on 23 select evenings Sept. 11-Nov. 2. Purchase of an additional admission ticket is required to attend. Halloween Party dates in 2012 are: • Sept. 11, 14, 18 21, 25, 28, 30 • Oct. 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18, 21, 22, 23, 25, 28, 30 and 31 • Nov. 2. Sept. 1- Dec. 1

Downtown Disney West Side: Beginning Sept. 1

Walt Disney World Resort guests will become stars in “Phineas and Ferb & YOU: A Brand New Reality.” While inside a virtual experience set, guests to play on-screen with animated characters from Disney’s Emmy Award-winning animated series “Phineas and Ferb.” The fun happens at Downtown Disney West Side, next to Bongos Cuban Café Sept.1 – Dec. 1, from 2-9:30 p.m. daily.
