Since I am a DVC (Disney Vacation Club) member at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas, I’m a bit partial to this place. There’s something so warm and homey about the surroundings. It’s probably a combination of factors including the cast members, the warmth of the woodwork and colors, and the general feeling at this resort. I remember when I first arrived at the resort. I was greeted by cast members dressed in gorgeous African inspired clothing and the sounds of drums wafting through the air. For a moment, I forgot I was in Florida and thought I was transported to a lodge on an African plain! Once inside, I could not help but stand in awe of the magnificent lobby with a floor to ceiling window overlooking the savanna. I knew from that instant, my stay here was going to be a truly different and unique experience. Not to mention that my children could not believe their eyes when they saw giraffe and zebra right outside their window!
