Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is situated on the shoreline of Bay Lake and shares amenities with the DVC Villas next door. If you like rustic decor complete with hand-carved wood railings and beams, this might just be the resort for you! I remember walking in this resort for the first time and feeling like I was in an amazing lodge. Let me rephrase that, a magnificent one! The lobby is home to an 82 foot tall fireplace that helps create the warm and homey feeling you would get at a lodge. Step outside and you’ll find the Fire Rock Geyser and if you’re lucky enough with your timing, you can see it erupt! Do not miss dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe. This restaurant is definitely not for those who like quiet when they’re eating. Think kids, music and lots of fun…oh, and the hokey pokey too! And don’t forget to ask for ketchup! 🙂
