Disney’s Bay Lake Tower resort is our second DVC home resort (after AKL). We bought into Bay Lake Tower because of its proximity to the Magic Kingdom, as well as all the amenities the resort has to offer. Bay Lake Tower is located next door to Disney’s Contemporary Resort which means that guests of Bay Lake Tower share the amenities that the Contemporary offers. One of which is the uber-convenient monorail!

This resort is an amazing example of modern architecture with it’s curved lines and gorgeous modern furnishing. If you are the type that enjoys sleek, clean accommodations, Bay Lake Tower is the place for you. In addition, it is located between Bay Lake and Seven Seas Lagoon which means that it offers AMAZING views of not only the Magic Kingdom, but all of the beautiful hotels that dot the shoreline of the lagoon and lake. I remember when we first arrived and went up to our room. We knew we were staying in a theme park room and the front desk told us that our little bit of a wait for our room to be ready, would be well worth it. When we opened the door to our room and walked into the living area, we could not believe our eyes. My kids were in disbelief. Our view for the entire week would be of Cinderella’s Castle and Space Mountain! Every night we would tune the tv into a certain Disney channel so we could hear the feed from the Magic Kingdom and then walk out onto the deck. We had our own personal viewing area for the spectacular fireworks display! The fireworks were so amazing because it looked like they were right outside our windows. Nothing could ever beat that experience! If you’re not able to stay in a theme park view room, head up to the Bay Lake Tower guests only lounge at the top of the resort. There is a viewing platform located right outside the lounge!

This resort also has a gorgeous pool right on the edge of Bay Lake, but you can also use the pools over at the Contemporary. A skybridge connects the two buildings and will take you to all the shopping and restaurants that the Contemporary has to offer.
